International Encounter Center

Cultural integration begins with encounter. The Georg Forster House is a place of intercultural exchange where scientists from all countries come together. We invite all guests and employees of the university to use our common areas, to get to know each other and to network.

We would like to promote this exchange in regular events at the International Meeting Center. Scientific events in the modern seminar room, selected cultural events in the foyer, meetings in the common room or even a cultural event in the reading room are an integral part of life in the Georg Forster House.

Of course, our former guests are also invited to our annual summer and Christmas parties. Once a month we offer a “Pottluck”, which invites to try national and international specialties. Here our guests can let off steam and share their favorite food from home with all the guests. Our meetings outside the guesthouse are also very popular to get to know each other and exchange ideas during an activity.
