Voyaging through galaxies—this was our goal on August 17, 2023. Together with PhD network, residents and staff members of Georg-Forster-Haus visited the planetarium in Halle, which recently opened in March 2023. For that afternoon, we chose the “Space Tour” display, in which spectacular images had been combined with popular songs from the recent past. We were deeply impressed by the show in four acts, slowly moving away from Earth, our solar system, the Milky Way, and toward spaces far from imagination, visually captured by telescopes and probes. We ended the evening in a down-to-earth manner with delicious tarte flambées.
