Georg-Forster-House is a place of intercultural exchange where researchers of many different countries get together. By organizing regular events the International Encounter Center wants to enhance these exchanges. Academic events in the modern in-house seminar room, selected cultural events in the showroom or piano concerts in the reading room are an integral part of the life at Georg-Forster-House. According to the house rules, you will have the possibility to use following rooms in the ground floor:
- seminar room, 82,5 sqm with 30 seats (laptop, LCD projector, projection screen, interactive whiteboard, visualizer, overhead projector, board)
- common room with kitchen, 45 sqm
- reading room with piano in the pavilion, 34 sqm
- hall (showroom)

You can reach the IBZ in 5-8 minutes by bike or foot from the University square (1). Pass the International Office (2) and go in direction of the Harz refectory (3). Turn into Emil- Abderhalden -Street and walk in direction of the University’s main library (4). You will find the Georg-Forster-House (5) after approximately 100m at the left-hand side.
